Does it Work? Honest VEGAMOUR Review

Since having Lily nearly three years ago, I’ve definitely noticed a lack of shine and fullness when it comes to my hair. That postpartum hair loss is real, y’all (and so cruel!). My hair used to be so long and thick in high school that my friends would have to use two boxes of hair dye because one box wasn’t enough. (Yes, we used to color our hair ourselves in our parents’ bathrooms. Didn’t everyone??)

That being said, my hair has been pretty sad and lifeless the last couple of years, so I was beyond excited when VEGAMOUR reached out to me last winter and asked if I would review some of their products. I’ve seen VEGAMOUR ads on my social feeds forever and have always been curious to give them a try. I was gifted three items: the GRO Revitalizing Shampoo, the GRO Revitalizing Conditioner, and the GRO Hair Serum.

VEGAMOUR is a 100% vegan company based in LA that focuses on hair wellness. Their products are safe, hormone-free, super clean, and  they smell oh-so-lovely. FYI, I’m not someone who spends a whole lot of time doing my hair each morning. I’m pretty low maintenance and don’t really use any products, either. (I know I probably should!) I absolutely loved adding this head massager to my hair wash routine. It felt so amazing!

I was worried the serum would feel oily or heavy on my hair, but I was pleasantly surprised that it didn’t feel that way at all! I actually loved massaging it into my scalp after every shower; it felt like a little self-care moment and it made my hair smell so good.

Here are a few photos I snapped of my hair before starting the shampoo, conditioner, and serum:

As you can see, my scalp was pretty visible and my hair felt really thin. I used the products for about 2.5 months. Within that time, I also chopped my hair off and colored it *bright-ish* red. I do think my hair felt thicker as my serum supply started to dwindle. It was nice taking those few extra minutes after I washed my hair to apply the serum and track the progress over time.

I feel like even as my hair color started to fade a bit, the fullness remained. I can’t see my scalp as easily as I could a few months ago, and my hair doesn’t look as thin around my forehead and temples. As someone who loves having bangs, this is a big plus for me!

This is supposed to be an honest review of these products, and I swear I’m being honest! I don’t know if it’s a combination of chopping my hair off, shaping my bangs a bit better, AND introducing these products at the same time, but something seems to be working.

Here’s a photo of Lily and me when my products were just starting to run out. My hair had grown a little bit since the previous photos and the color isn’t as vibrant, but I still feel like it looks and feels healthier than it did back in January when I snapped those three photos before I started using VEGAMOUR.

If you’re searching for products to give your hair some much-needed love and new life, look no further! As always, thanks for reading. xo
