Gilmore Girls Warner Bros. Studio Tour in Los Angeles

At the beginning of the month, my friend Tessa and I met up in LA solely to check out the Warner Bros. Studio tour because there was a special Gilmore Girls event. (Yes, you read that right!) We're pretty big GG fans, so when Tessa told me about this back in November, we quickly decided there was no way we were going to miss out on it.I took a ton of photos on this trip, but I'll save most of those for a separate post. This post is for all things Gilmore Girls!

Okay, so, where do I start?? Right when we entered the building for the tour, they had big advertisements for the event which was super exciting!

We attended the event on the last day (January 5th) and we weren't sure how many Gilmore Girls fans would actually be there because who would wait until the last day like we did, right?? Wrong! Every single person in our group was there for Gilmore Girls, haha. When we signed up for the tour, there wasn't a way to just sign up for the Gilmore Girls portion; you had to attend the entire tour. I've always wanted to do the studio tour anyway so I didn't mind. We got to see a lot of original costumes from some big movies like Aquaman, Wonder Woman, Batman, Harry Potter, and more. They took us through the different lots and showed us where certain scenes were filmed from different movies and tv shows, and we also got to see where Ellen's show takes place which was probably my favorite part of the tour (aside from the GG set of course!).

When we finally arrived at the GG portion of the tour, we were a bit overwhelmed because there was just so much to see and do. It was impressive! There's only one small thing I have to mention because Tessa and I found it a bit disappointing: on the "Lunch with Lorelai" sign above, they spelled Lorelai's name wrong! Not a huge deal, but I'm surprised nobody caught it. I noticed it right away. *tsk tsk*

Lunch with Lorelai was just an area inside Sookie's house where you could order food similar to what you'd often see Rory and Lorelai eating on the show. They had a bunch of tables and chairs set up on the sidewalk. We didn't order anything, but we walked through just to check it out.

This house was a bookstore and a mini-theater in the show, but it was also April's mom's house in season 6. Fun fact: the actress who played April's mom that season also appeared in season 3 as Jess's stepmom. She originally auditioned to be Lorelai! This house was also Drew Carey's home in The Drew Carey Show (1995 - 2004).

It was awesome seeing the gazebo from the show and getting a chance to sit on the steps! Being in the center of Stars Hollow was a surreal feeling. Yes, I know how dorky that sounds... Here's a short video I took from that area:

Near the gazebo was the Björk snow woman, though clearly not the same one from the show.

Stars Hollow High looked so much smaller in person! And I'm not sure why this photo is so crooked, haha.

Doose's Market actually felt bigger in person than it does on the show.

There was a line to pose for photos in front of Luke's diner, so we decided to join in. We realized after we left that we never checked out the professional photos that were taken of us throughout the day. We had a ticket that each photographer scanned after they took a photo of us... Whoops!

We were starting to get hungry, so we stopped for coffee and pop-tarts at the little outdoor cart they had set up. I loved the "no cell phones" sign hanging up, similar to what Luke had in his diner.

We saved the best for last: Rory and Lorelai's house. That area was definitely the most crowded, but it wasn't too bad. Even though the outside was the only part used on the show, I thought it was cute how they had the inside set up for fans.

It was so cool seeing their house, especially with Lorelai's Jeep sitting in the driveway.

Had to get a selfie on the porch! They also had some merch for sale, like hats, notebooks, keychains, coffee mugs, magnets, shirts, aprons, and more. I left with a Luke's Diner apron, a "Life's short, talk fast" magnet, and a Luke's Diner keychain. They also had a few outfits from the show on display.

We took some photos on the couch in the living room, and the woman working there wanted to try an artsy shot, so we pretended to sip coffee and giggle in the most casual non-cheesy way possible, lol.
